Job Description

Automation Champion – Budapest (Hybrid)

Opella Consumer Healthcare

At Opella Consumer Healthcare, we are committed to improving everyday health through science and innovation. To support this mission, we are expanding our digital and automation capabilities across our global hubs.

We are seeking an Automation Champion who is enthusiastic about modern automation practices, skilled in low-code tools, and confident working with Python to build, enhance, and scale digital solutions. If you enjoy simplifying complex challenges, empowering teams, and building automations that make work easier and more meaningful, we would be glad to hear from you.

About the Role

In this role, you will foster an automation-first mindset across the Budapest hub. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, design user-friendly workflows, and support colleagues in developing their own automations.
This position involves both people enablement and technical delivery, with a particular emphasis on practical Python use for data transformation, workflow logic, and automation enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

Promote an automation-first culture, sharing best practices, facilitating learning sessions, and supporting a diverse community of citizen developers.

Identify automation opportunities and evaluate feasibility, expected value, and reusability across hubs.

Enable and mentor citizen developers as they design and build automations using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Excel Power Query.

Use Python to support automation development, enhance data processes, and build scalable, reusable components where low-code tools need augmentation.

Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring clarity of requirements, alignment on outcomes, and a positive, transparent communication experience.

Ensure governance and compliance, including documentation, security, data privacy, and adherence to ethical AI principles.

Track and report impact, demonstrating hours saved, user adoption, solution quality, and the value of automation across the hub.

Key Requirements

7 Essential Qualifications & Experience

8–10+ years of experience in IT, consulting, automation, or digital transformation, including 5+ years leading automation initiatives.

Strong hands-on expertise with Power Automate, Power Apps, Excel Power Query, and practical, working Python skills used for automation, data transformation, and workflow optimisation.

Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, communicate clearly, and support people with varying levels of technical experience.

Proven capability to translate business needs into scalable digital workflows, including connector design and process logic.

Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP S4, Workday, TM1) and a good understanding of functional processes (Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial).

Experience with project management, managing priorities, timelines, risks, and multi-team collaboration.

Experience or interest in AI-supported automation (e.g., Claude, Gemini, Grok) and optional certifications in RPA/automation or continuous improvement are beneficial.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

Opella Consumer Healthcare values diversity and respects the individuality of every applicant. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, experiences, and identities. If you don’t meet every requirement but feel you could be successful in this role, we encourage you to apply.

We also offer reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process and throughout employment.
