About ZorroRX

ZorroRX is a pharmacy cost containment company focused on reducing medication costs for health plans. We achieve savings through 340B pharmacy partnerships, direct contracting with manufacturers, and other cost reduction strategies. Our transparent approach targets the 10-15% of high-cost claimants who drive the majority of pharmacy expenses, typically reducing plan costs by over 20%. We regularly save plans hundreds of thousands of dollars a year on a single patient while reducing patient expenses to $0.

We are building AI tools for our pharmacy partners to automate common tasks in their pharmacy management systems and EMRs. Our goal is to free up pharmacists to focus on utilizing their expertise, with clinical pharmacy services being a key component of the ZorroRX program.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our innovative team in transforming healthcare delivery. In this role, you will be embedded within our pharmacy partner network, where you’ll provide expert patient counseling while ensuring the highest standards of medication accuracy and safety. Your work will directly support our core mission of reducing medication costs for health plans and patients making quality healthcare more accessible and affordable.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Operations:
  • Deliver patient counseling via telehealth
  • Conduct medication reviews for complex therapies
  • Conduct follow up using ZorroRX software
  • Review and optimize medication therapy for clinical outcomes and cost-effectiveness
  • Report to ZorroRX Chief Medical Officer and collaborate with Hoboken Medical Center's pharmacy team on daily operations and assigned projects
  • Contribute to scaling cost containment programs across health plan clients

Qualifications

Required:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from ACPE-accredited program
  • Active pharmacy license in applicable state(s)
  • Strong clinical knowledge base including pharmacokinetics, dosing, and specialty therapies
  • Experience with high-cost medications and specialty pharmacy preferred
  • Startup mindset with ability to thrive in fast-paced, innovative environment
Preferred:
  • Hospital pharmacy experience (1+ years)
  • Pharmacy residency training
  • Experience with pharmacy benefit management or cost containment
Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency with pharmacy technology and computer systems
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and AI-powered tools
  • Physical requirements: extended standing/walking, computer work, manual dexterity for labeling
  • Normal hearing and vision for work performance and communication

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $130,000 – $150,000 per year.
