As an Engineering Discipline Manager you will:
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to a team of engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality products and services
- Develop and maintain technical expertise in a specific engineering discipline, staying current with industry trends and advancements
- Demonstrate engaged leadership, leading and motivating agile teams to solve difficult technical problems and perform with excellence
- Establish talent management plans to attract, retain and develop critical skills, including knowledge transfer and mentoring programs
- Work with cross-functional teams to balance resource priorities across multiple projects
- Collaborate strategically with business area and functional leadership to achieve overall business objectives
- Develop, implement, and maintain engineering processes and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that engineering projects and products meet quality and reliability standards.

Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's Degree in related engineering field
- 8+ years experience leading the architecture, design, and integration of military and commercial flight controls, egnine controls, mission systems which include hardware, software and firmware.
- Previous experience in project leadership role or functional management
- Demonstrated ability to achieve cost, cycle time, customer and engineering process objectives
- Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and motivate technical teams
- Demonstrated ability to integrate and coordinate with other functions and customers
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Experience in full lifecycle systems development including requirements, design, implementation, integration and verification
- Working knowledge of commercial and military systems, hardware, and software development processes and procedures
- Desire to continuously improve engineering processes and standards
Internal/External
Preferred Skills and Education
- Master’s Degree in related engineering field
- 2+ years of engineering management experience
- Experience in Digital Engineering, Model Based Systems Engineering and Agile Mindset principle, practices & processes and tools & techniques
- Experience leading safety critical projects (ie, flight controls, engine controls, propulsion controls) - Experience with Requirements Development/Management (ie, DOORS, Jama) and Configuration Management (ie, Atlassian) tools
- Familiarity with industry standards such as DO-178B/C, DO-254 and ARP4754
- Experience with HW/SW/Systems integration
- Experience with Requirements Based Verification
- Strong mentoring, coaching and influential leadership skills
