The ED Paramedic Program Coordinator is responsible for overall Paramedic Supervision and management of the Paramedic Program. As the ED Paramedic Program Coordinator, you are delegated the authority, responsibility, and accountability to carry out your assigned duties. These include, but are not limited to: being responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing to meet supplemental care needs based on patient census and condition, maintaining adequate supplies and equipment necessary for delivery of patient care, observing and assisting with patient flow, acting as liaison between Paramedics and Nursing Administration, and leading Performance Improvement projects based on identified deficits within the department.
Qualifications:
- R.N. with a current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Louisiana. Licensed as a Paramedic in the state of Louisiana.
- Skill and proficiency in applying highly technical principles, concepts and techniques which are central to the professional discipline of nursing.
- Human relations skills in communication.
- Ability to use initiative in decision-making and independent judgement
