POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Engineer – QMS is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO, IATF, and other relevant industry standards. This role ensures adherence to customer requirements, drives process improvements, and supports audits across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior QMS Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Process Development

  • Develop, implement, and maintain QMS procedures in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.

Audit

  • Coordinate and support internal, external, and customer audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM, etc.

Business Support

  • Monitor production processes to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation such as PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC.

Team Leadership

  • Train and mentor teams on QMS practices and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality objectives are met.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of experience in Quality Management or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt or ISO Lead Auditor are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and TPM.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage audits and regulatory compliance effectively.

The base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $135,000 annually. In determining the rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role. Base salary is one facet of Amphenol's total rewards package which includes participation in our comprehensive benefits program with medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, life insurance, short/long term disability, and membership in our Defined Contribution Pension Plan.
