POSITION SUMMARY: 

 

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused Logistics Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain operations, you will support our Logistics Manager in overseeing the movement of products and materials, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of logistics.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Essential Functions:

  • Shipping and receiving: Coordinate the shipment and receipt of products, ensuring timely delivery and accurate receiving of incoming shipments
  • Inventory management: Accurately track inventory levels, receive and check in supplies, stock inventory, perform inventory counts, and investigate discrepancies
  • Warehouse management: Organizing and maintaining warehouse and inventory areas. 
  • Process improvement: Working to improve company processes for safety, quality, and efficiency 
  • Customer Service: Assisting customers by phone and email as needed

 

Additional Responsibilities:                                                                                                                              

Occasionally will be asked to help with equipment calibration to make sure our products meet our expectations

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and reach frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs consistently
  • Most important qualities are adaptability and hardworking
  • Most important skill is ability to follow directions

 

 

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Customer service skills

Experience

  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving operations or a related field is an asset

  • Proficiency in MS Office and database management
