Job Description

Job Summary: 

Leads the progression of key projects through Stage Gate, ensuring timeliness, cost, revenue and quality are met. Monitors timelines, delays, and progressions while ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner by all parties participating in the Stage Gate process. Communicates effectively with a cross-functional team to drive project closure.


Essential Functions:

  • Assists in planning and managing projects through entire Stage Gate cycle to achieve product launch and revenue generation.
  • Responsible for monitoring Stage Gate timelines, metrics, monthly progression meetings, project notebook compilation, delays, and approvals.
  • Responsible for task management inside projects to ensure staff is meeting timelines.
  • Monitors projects to keep them on time and moving forward. 
  • Prepares, organizes, and distributes important project documents and materials
  • Assesses possible project risks and setbacks
  • Advises staff on project schedules
  • Serves as liaison with a diverse range of departments in the product development process including Sales, Innovation, Quality, Operations, EHS and Marketing/Product Management, as well as with the Customer.
  • Works alongside Innovation leadership to ensure project timeliness, cost, revenue and quality objectives are met.
  • Provides timely updates to all stakeholders
  • Works across practices/disciplines to share lessons learned and best practices
  • Recognizes areas for internal improvement and develops plans for implementation. 
  • Implements improvements to the PDR Stage Gate process
  • Complies with and enforces standard policies and procedures

Job Specifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Science
  • Minimum of 1-3 years as a project administrator or in a similar role managing Innovation projects
  • Proven track record of successful management of projects meeting budget and target date requirements
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Proven experience with Microsoft platforms (Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot project issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Ability to motivate and keep staff on task
  • Excellent team leadership and facilitation skills
  • Works well under pressure ensuring tasks and goals are met
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 10%)
