Job Description

Responsibilities

•    Provide programmatic and administrative support to keep the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Program in the Foundations Department running smoothly
•    Coordinate student intake, registration, placement testing logistics, and maintain waitlists
•    Check member eligibility and provide accurate information on ESOL program and policies --via phone, email, or to walk-ins
•    Maintain student records and update database (attendance, class lists, pre/post assessments, contact information), follow-up on student absences or missing information
•    Input program data and submit to the Department of Program Administration accurately and on time 
•    Help distribute and collect forms, surveys, classroom materials, and books
•    Assist with program orientations and class visits; provide initial assessment of instructor performance 
•    Provide quality customer service to members, as well as accurate and timely information about various programs, the department and the Funds
•    Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management


Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Healthcare or equivalent years of experience required
•    Minimum two (2) years of experience in adult education, training or office setting required
•    Bilingual in Spanish language required
•    Basic skill level in Microsoft Word and Excel required
•    Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to details, and ability to work well under deadline pressure
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work both independently and as a team player 
•    Ability to maintain strong relationships with staff and stakeholders (union, members, and educational institutions); handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and work well under pressure
•    Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends as needed
