JOB DESCRIPTION

 

TITLE: Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic

LOCATION: Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326



OBJECTIVE

We are seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working on electrical components, hydraulics, and performing engine diagnostics on a variety of equipment. This role requires strong mechanical expertise and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with dealership service, rental fabrication, and heavy equipment repair is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse machinery including cranes, forklifts, gas & diesel engines and more, ensuring optimal performance and safety of equipment used across our various construction services.



HEAVY CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT MECHANIC KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be tasked with the diagnosis and repair of the following equipment. 


Please note- the below list is not intended to be required expertise. Similar experience and training will be considered. 


  • CAT and other branded construction equipment
  • Hyster and other similar lift trucks from 2-ton to 50-ton plus
  • Broderson cranes IC-80 to IC-250
  • Skytrak telehandlers 6036 to 10054
  • LP, gas and diesel engines various size displacement
  • Personnel (golf cart, side-by-side) gas electrical systems
  • Hydraulic systems repairs and servicing
  • Multiquip (MQ), Oztec, Husqvarna (saws and vacs)
  • Ride-on power trowels, walk behind power trowels, early entry saw and silica vacs
  • Gas and electric vibrators



HEAVY CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT MECHANIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • The ability to diagnose and solve problems or research solutions.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Proficiency complete paperwork thoroughly and accurately.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and prioritization skills.
  • Effective communication skills via email, text messaging, and other software platforms required to diagnose equipment.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Have your own basic tools up to 2 inch. CCC provides battery operated and specialty tools.
  • Chauffeurs license and current medical card preferred- CCC will arrange if needed.
  • Participate in our drug screen program.
