Summary

Under the direction of the Head Coach, the Blue Tides Coach is responsible for the athletic and competitive development of age group swimmers, ages 6-18.  The mission of the Blue Tides swim team is to provide an environment for competitive swimmers and to embrace team and individual goals in combination with personal growth.

About Blue Tides Swim Team

The Blue Tides Swim Team is a year-round competitive swim team affiliated with USA Swimming and for swimmers 6-18 years of age.  The team has over 100 swimmers who range in ability from beginner to Zone and Sectional qualifiers. Practices are divided into 3 groups based on age and ability, determined by the head coach with assistance from the coaching staff.   During the school year, practices are held nightly between 4:30-9:00pm, and Sunday mornings between 7:00-10:00am.   During summer months, doubles are offered to the top group with a mix of swim or dryland workouts in the morning plus regular evening practice.  During each season, the team attends 1 or 2 weekend meets per month within the area, and aims to participate in one “travel” meet a month outside of the state.   Our practice facility is located at the Inwood Athletic Club and consists of an 8-lane 25-yard short course pool.
