Job Description

Community Connections Inc. is seeking a Director of Community Advancement and Philanthropy to join our leadership team! This dynamic role is ideal for a strategic, relationship-driven leader who is passionate about advancing mission-driven work through fundraising, storytelling, and community engagement.

Based in Fall River, MA, this position plays a key role in shaping and executing our fundraising and community advancement strategy to support long-term organizational growth and impact.

 What You’ll Do as Director of Community Advancement and Philanthropy:

  • Lead and execute a comprehensive fundraising and community advancement strategy
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, partners, and community stakeholders
  • Drive growth in individual, major, corporate, and institutional giving
  • Oversee events, campaigns, and community engagement initiatives
  • Guide communications strategy, including storytelling, appeals, and digital engagement
  • Partner with the CEO and Board on donor strategy and organizational sustainability
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the development team
  • Oversee CRM systems, reporting, and fundraising performance metrics 

 What You’ll Need as Director of Community Advancement and Philanthropy:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred (may substitute for some experience)
  • 5–7 years of experience in fundraising, development, or public service
  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a nonprofit setting
  • Experience with donor relations, grants, events, and development operations
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills
  • Experience with CRM systems and data-driven decision-making
  • Passion for mission-driven work; human services experience a plus
