Position Summary

Sheer Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pricing Manager to join our team.This role is pivotal in developing, managing, and optimizing pricing strategies across our organization. The ideal candidate will have Truckload procurement experience, an analytical background, attention to detail, and experience with key data tools and pricing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development and implementation of pricing strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability.

• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and internal & external data to inform pricing decisions.

• Work closely with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment of pricing strategies.

• Create and maintain pricing models using advanced Excel functions and data analysis techniques.

• Utilize SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting to support pricing decisions.

• Optionally leverage Snowflake for advanced data warehousing and analytics.

• Evaluate and improve pricing algorithms and tools to optimize performance and accuracy.

• Monitor pricing effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Prepare and present pricing analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding pricing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in pricing, carrier procurement, financial analysis, or a related analytical role; 7+ years preferred.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and modeling.

• Experience with SQL for data analysis and reporting.

• Knowledge of Snowflake or similar data warehousing platforms is a plus, but not required.

• Demonstrated understanding of how pricing algorithms work and experience working with pricing tools is highly desirable.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry.

• Project management experience.

• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
