Job Description

RxBenefits is seeking a forward-thinking Director of Industry Communications with deep expertise in the pharmacy benefits management (PBM) space to lead critical stakeholder communication initiatives during a transformative period for the industry. This role is essential to helping brokers, clients, and other stakeholders navigate the evolving PBM landscape, including significant legislative reforms and evolving partner solutions. The Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring stakeholders understand the implications of these changes and are equipped to act effectively.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape RxBenefits' communications strategy and drive meaningful engagement during a pivotal time in the pharmacy benefits industry.

Essential Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Industry Monitor and Communication Planning: Monitor and interpret trends in the pharmacy benefits landscape, proactively addressing emerging challenges and opportunities through strategic communications.
  • Change Management: Act as a key advisor and strategist in guiding stakeholders through industry disruptions, ensuring clarity and confidence in the relevance of RxBenefits’ solutions and approach. 
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that address legislative reforms, PBM industry evolution, compliance updates, and crisis communications, ensuring alignment with RxBenefits' business objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Develop High-Impact External Communications: As a working member of the team, craft and deliver impactful messaging tailored to benefit advisors and client contacts, fostering understanding and trust across diverse audiences.
  • Enterprise Enablement: Lead efforts in marketing and internal communications to produce impactful tools and resources that enable our business development, account management, and operations teams to achieve excellence in enterprise-wide execution. 

Required Skills / Experience:

  • 7-10 years’ experience in communications leadership within the PBM or healthcare industry, with a focus on regulatory and compliance communications.
  • Proven ability to translate complex industry developments into clear, actionable messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing global teams.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated success in navigating fast-paced, evolving industries and driving impactful communication strategies.


Based on relevant market data and other factors, the anticipated hiring range for this role is $149,600 to $187,000 annually. Final compensation rates will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity considerations. This role is also short-term incentive eligible. Incentive amounts will vary by individual and business goals.
