Job Description
Job Title: Patient Care Advocate
Location: El Salvador (Remote)
Employment Type: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard business hours: rotating Saturdays.

Summary

The Patient Care Advocate plays a vital role in enhancing the
patient experience by ensuring seamless appointment coordination,
accurate scheduling, and effective communication across clinical and
administrative teams. This position is central to maintaining
operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high standards of
patient care. The ideal candidate will be highly organized,
detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple workflows with
precision and professionalism. By upholding HIPAA standards and
fostering clear communication, the Patient Care Advocate supports
timely access to care and contributes to the overall success of the
healthcare delivery team.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments within the EMR
    system, ensuring alignment with provider availability and
    scheduling protocols
  • Confirm appointments with patients and clinical staff to
    minimize no-shows and optimize scheduling efficiency
  • Respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries via
    phone and email
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts; escalate complex
    issues as needed
  • Accurately update patient demographics and close CRM tickets
    on time
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and internal compliance
    policies in all documentation and communications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient
    access and streamline care delivery

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Medical license or awaiting medical license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical or clinical setting
  • Proven attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with EMR systems (preferred)
  • Prior experience in patient scheduling or care coordination
    (preferred)
