Reports to:             Director of Special Education & Building Principal

Start Date:              August 2026

Rate of Pay:           Starting at $37,103 - Certifications in related fields will have additional compensation  

Schedule:                185 Contract

Qualifications:

●        Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, behavior analysis, or a related field preferred

●        Experience working with children in an educational or behavioral support setting

●        Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and positive behavior supports

●        Ability to follow behavior plans and respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations

●        Strong communication and collaboration skills

●        Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

●        Experience working with students with autism, ADHD, or emotional/behavioral disorders

●        Training or certification in CPI, ABA, or similar behavioral intervention programs

Job Responsibilities:

●        Provide support for at risk populations using individual or small group meetings.

●        Provide direct behavioral support to individual students or small groups in classroom and school settings.

●        Collaborate with the student support team to implement accommodations and strategies that promote student success.

●        Assist the MTSS team with organizing, implementing, and monitoring intervention plans

●        Collect, document, and report behavioral data to support progress monitoring and decision-making

●        Use evidence-based behavior management strategies, including positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques

●        Support students in developing social, emotional, communication, and self-regulation skills

●        Provide academic support to students individually or in small groups as assigned

●        Build positive relationships with students to promote engagement, accountability, and success

●        Assist with crisis prevention and intervention when necessary, following school protocols

●        Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of student information

●        Participate in staff and team meetings, trainings, and professional development as required

●        Communicate with students, staff and families as required

●        Assist with supervision of students during lunch periods, passing times, and other unstructured settings.

●        Monitor hallways, common areas, and restrooms to ensure a safe and respectful school environment.

●        Collaborate with instructional staff to connect regularly with identified students to provide encouragement, motivation, and problem-solving support
