Overview

The Manager, Data Center I plays a vital leadership role within Brightstar’s marketing and analytics organization, driving data-informed decision-making to support sales growth, product development, and strategic planning across the lottery portfolio. This position leads a team of analysts who manage complex datasets, perform in-depth market and retailer analyses, develop forecasting models, and generate insights that guide both internal strategy and customer-facing recommendations.

As a central contributor to Brightstar’s mission of delivering high-performing lottery solutions, the Manager oversees the design and execution of analytical studies that evaluate retail performance, product distribution, promotional effectiveness, and market segmentation. The role collaborates extensively with site personnel, marketing teams, and cross-functional partners to develop strategic marketing plans, benchmark industry best practices, and support new product launches or enhancements. 

This position requires strong quantitative skills, expertise in statistical analysis and forecasting, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non‑technical audiences. Success in the role hinges on effective team leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of ownership and initiative.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for marketing and analytics functions which support sales, strategic and marketing planning, product development, and Brightstar customer needs with the goal of facilitating same store sales growth. These functions include historical market and lottery game analyses and recommendations, retailer analyses, sales forecasting and analyses, promotional analyses, market segmentation, marketing planning, customer consultation and support of primary research for new products and games.

The Manager directs a team of analysts that performs a wide range of duties in support of these objectives including administration of internal databases, use of demographic segmentation and other secondary databases and research, information development with other marketing professionals including site personnel, creation of presentations, formation of sales forecasts for new or existing business opportunities, and other functions as assigned.

  • Supervises a team of analysts who maintain internal databases, create custom reports, and generate case studies and other such analyses in support of customer/corporate development of marketing plans, product research and multiple other company objectives.
  • Designs and oversees the execution of complex retail analyses for use in modeling sales growth opportunity, optimal product distribution and placement, and market segmentation.
  • Directs the preparation of forecasts for new lottery launches, modifications, and existing or new lottery opportunities utilizing case studies and industry trends.
  • Interfaces directly with other internal departments, and site personnel to develop and present analyses, results, forecasts, and recommendations.
  • Collaborates with site personnel in the development of strategic marketing plans for current or potential customers through trend analysis, industry tracking, and best practice benchmarking.
  • Coordinates efforts with other marketing and site professionals to identify best practices for marketing, promotion, retailer development and distribution.
  • Assists with market research development and analysis in order to support recommendation development, and presentations for selected customer accounts and products.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
  • Work Experience ideally in consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, business analytics or market research with demonstrable results and career progression.
  • Some direct personnel management preferred. Excel and PowerPoint expertise is a must.
  • Tableau experience a plus.
  • Strong abilities in statistical and data analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize work and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Must maintain a high sense of ownership, be self-motivated with initiative, and be able to effectively direct a team from project start to project completion

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.


 


Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
