Who are we?

Amdocs helps those who build the future to make it amazing. Within the CTO organization, our data-driven GenAI unit is responsible for designing, building, and scaling production-grade GenAI and agentic systems that power next-generation operational intelligence, automation, and AI-driven decision-making across enterprise products.

We operate at the intersection of software engineering, data platforms, and applied GenAI, delivering real-world systems at scale.

In one sentence

Lead a senior engineering team building mission-critical, full‑stack, data‑driven GenAI and agentic systems, combining deep technical ownership, strong people leadership, and the ability to execute under pressure in a fast-changing environment.

What will your job look like?

  • Lead and grow a high-performing, collaborative engineering team focused on GenAI and agentic solutions.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of production-grade software systems, from architecture and design through implementation, deployment, and operations.
  • Drive development of GenAI-based solutions, including:
    • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
    • Vector Databases
    • Multi-agent architectures and orchestration frameworks
    • LLM integrations and prompt engineering lifecycle
  • Serve as a technical authority across the stack (backend, frontend, data, cloud), setting engineering standards and best practices.
  • Translate ambiguous business and research problems into scalable, reliable software architectures.
  • Operate effectively under time pressure and changing priorities, balancing delivery, quality, and innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, architects, product managers, and platform teams across the CTO organization.
  • Ensure engineering excellence through code reviews, design reviews, observability, performance, and reliability practices.
  • Mentor engineers, grow future leaders, and actively invest in team skills and culture.
  • Continuously improve engineering processes, tooling, and development velocity.

All you need is...

Leadership & Mindset

  • Proven people leadership with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Highly adaptive, with a steep learning curve in fast-evolving technical domains.
  • Comfortable working in high-pressure, high-impact environments.
  • Strong collaborator who builds trust, alignment, and engagement across teams.

Technical Capabilities (Must‑Have)

  • 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
  • Full‑stack expertise (backend-first, frontend understanding required).
  • Strong system design and architecture skills for large-scale, distributed systems.
  • Practical experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure/K8s – at least one at production scale).
  • Solid foundations in data-driven systems, APIs, and platform thinking.

GenAI & Data (Strong Advantage)

  • Hands-on experience with GenAI systems, including:
    • RAG pipelines
  • Vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate or equivalents)
  • LLM-based agents and orchestration frameworks
  • Understanding of model limitations, evaluation, latency, cost, and safety constraints in production environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Advanced degrees are a plus.

Why you will love this job:

  • Lead one of the most strategic GenAI engineering teams in the CTO organization.
  • Build real, production AI systems—not demos or prototypes.
  • Influence architecture and technical direction at enterprise scale.
  • Work with top engineers, data scientists, and AI leaders.
  • Operate at the cutting edge of agentic AI applied to real business systems.

Amdocs is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce
