Job Description

Summary

This position is responsible for giving medical attention and administering first aid to employees. Also responsible for administering drug and alcohol tests, maintaining first-aid station, preparing medical logs/reports, monitoring the health and safety of plant employees, and performing other HR-related clerical duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide first-aid treatment, such as bandaging wounds
  • Provide life support care, such as CPR when needed
  • Assess team member conditions and provide initial treatment
  • Determine the level of care a team member needs
  • Provide FMLA information to team members
  • Track and update FMLA Hours used
  • Communicate with all levels of management if accommodations have to be made for team members.
  • Travel to and from Urgent Care, Physical Therapy, Family Doctors to transport Team Members.
  • Order Supplies within the medical department
  • Scan documents into the appropriate medical files

Education and/or Experience

  • DE EMT Certification (current)
  • 3 or more years in field 
  • Industrial experience preferred

 

Knowledge/Skills

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Have the ability to work under stress and high level emergencies
    • Excellent attendance and punctuality
    • Exceptional organizational, record keeping, and follow-up skills 
    • Good telephone communication skills
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Working knowledge of computer applications 
    • Excellent problem-solving skills. 
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
