Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) Coordinator


Position: The Mohawk Trail and Hawlemont Regional School Districts are looking for a Coordinator to implement the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) program priorities, which are grant-funded through the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). 


Hours: 37 hours a week, full-time


Activities: The Coordinator ensures high-quality services by promoting early childhood best practices, supervising and supporting the CFCE community-based team, and effective program management. The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:



  • Maintaining a regular, visible presence in our elementary buildings and early childhood classrooms

  • Organizing community events, playgroups, and workshops to engage diverse families, included in high-needs areas

  • Distributing, explaining, and collecting ASQ screenings to parents

  • Ensuring CFCE goals and program plans are fully implemented, according to EEC requirements

  • Managing the hiring, onboarding, supervision, training, and support of CFCE  team members to ensure they are using research-based, early childhood best practices and early learning curricula

  • Managing the program’s budget and monitoring expenditures in coordination with the Early Childhood Coordinator and Director of Pupil Personnel Services

  • Facilitating CFCE Community Advisory Council meetings, and/or other community meetings that promote CFCE goals and priorities 

  • Participating in meetings for CFCE, the EEC, and others as required by those funders

  • Providing parent education opportunities, coaching, and modeling parent/child activities, and providing parents with feedback 

  • Organizing and contributing to grant application and amendment activities

  • Maintaining relationships with public schools, child care programs, and staff in our CFCE communities to sustain strong community partnerships


Experience Preferred:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or a related field, and three years’ experience working in or with early education and care programs and/or with parents of young children

  • Experiences in program management, collaboration, community building, early childhood, and family support  


Requirments



  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively 

  • Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of individuals across various levels of education, income, race, ethnicity, and identities across our eight towns

  • Ability to drive in the day and evening, often maintaining a varied schedule which may include evening or weekend commitments. (Some travel required for Statewide Meetings and Training)

  • Microsoft Office and/or Google Chrome database management knowledge

  • Ability to effectively communicate in person, over the phone, through video conferencing, and via email. Ability to schedule and attend virtual meetings.


Reports To: The Director of Pupil Personnel Services for Mohawk Trail and the Hawlemont Regional School Districts, Julia Lignori


Salary: Starting at $48,750. Compensation will be based upon the applicant’s credentials and years of service in related fields.
