Bessemer Trust is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Planning and Analysis (“FP&A”) Revenue Associate to join the FP&A department within the Finance organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to be a key participant in the continued growth of the FP&A organization within Bessemer Trust. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling and analysis skills, with a particular focus on revenue modeling, long-term financial planning (5-year), board material preparation, and advanced Excel capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for providing critical insights into revenue trends, developing financial reports, supporting long-term planning processes, and preparing key financial materials for board presentations and executive leadership reviews.
Responsibilities:
- Revenue Analysis & Reporting: Analyze firm-wide revenue and translate results into actionable executive level insights. Regularly track and report on revenue trends, revenue drivers (markets, client flows, etc.), and key performance indicators (AUS, AUM, market returns, etc.).
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models in Excel or FP&A software to forecast revenues across business units and subsidiaries. Ensure accurate and timely revenue forecasting in collaboration with business partners.
- Variance Analysis: Perform in-depth variance analyses, comparing actual revenues to budget, forecast, and prior periods. Provide clear explanations of significant variances to senior management.
- Annual & Long-Range Financial Planning: Support the development of the firm’s annual budget and 5-year financial plan, focusing on revenue forecasting. Build detailed models that incorporate growth strategies, market impact, organic growth impact, and other planning assumptions. Ensure alignment between long-range forecasts and strategic objectives.
- Board Material Preparation: Prepare high-quality financial materials and reports for board meetings, including visually compelling slide decks, support packages, and ad-hoc analyses. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the clarity and accuracy of all financial information presented to the board.
- Revenue Tracking & Process Improvement: Continuously improve revenue tracking and reporting processes by developing more efficient workflows. Provide recommendations to streamline reporting, dashboarding, forecasting, and planning processes through Excel or FP&A software automation.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with key stakeholders in various departments and business units to gather financial data and ensure alignment on revenue forecasting. Act as a financial business partner to improve transparency and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, with concentrations in Finance and/or Accounting.
- 2 - 5 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred experience in financial planning and analysis at a financial institution or private equity/venture capital firm.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial planning software is preferred (e.g., Oracle, OneStream, Hyperion, Anaplan, SAP, or similar).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including extensive experience with financial modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and VBA.
- Experience with data querying using SQL and dashboarding/visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau) is a plus.
- Experience with 5-year financial planning or long-term financial forecasting preferred.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines; execute responsibilities with a sense of urgency and follow-through.
The base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $115,000 per year. This range reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. In addition, this position may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, and other compensation programs as applicable. Eligible employees may participate in a 401(k) program with a generous profit-sharing contribution, medical, prescription dental, and vision coverage; life insurance; disability coverage; paid holidays; vacation; and sick time, subject to plan terms and Company policies.
