Location: Remote

Shift: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm

How You’ll Make an Impact 

​​The Technical Application Scientist position is a non-bench role that works closely with customers and the lab in order to effectively manage the customer interaction with GENEWIZ. 


What You’ll Do 

  • Provide NGS consultation for complex projects via enhanced touchpoints including emails, direct calls, and teleconferences 
  • Review all NGS quotes from Associate Study Managers 
  • Train Associate Study Managers  
  • Optimize pre-sales and quoting workflow  
  • Lead troubleshooting for standard cases 
  • Serve as the main point of contact for select external customers including, but not limited to: 
  • General pre-sales inquiries 
  • Complex project design 
  • Progress reports 
  • Technical support/troubleshooting 

What You Will Bring

  • Master’s Degree required with 2+ years of relevant experience required  
  • PhD preferred 
  • In-depth knowledge of NGS techniques, applications, and platforms is required 
  • Prior scientific technical support and troubleshooting experience is required 
  • Project management experience recommended 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, is required 
  • Ability to efficiently, accurately, and succinctly communicate complex information is required 
  • ​​Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment​

United States Base Compensation: $95,000.00 - $119,000.00

The posted pay range for this position is an estimate based on current market data and internal pay structure. Final compensation may vary above or below this range depending on factors such as experience, education (including licensure and certifications),  qualifications, performance, and geographic location, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
