Who We Are



 



Villa Restaurant Group operates high volume, guest focused concepts in airport environments. Our Starbucks at JFK moves fast, serves with heart, and runs on strong leadership. We are looking for a strong Assistant General Manager who can support the General Manager, lead daily operations, and help build a high performing team in a fast paced airport setting.



 



What You Will Do



 



As Assistant General Manager, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, developing leaders, and delivering consistent, exceptional guest experiences. You will be a visible leader on the floor who drives standards and accountability.



• Support daily operations of a high volume Starbucks location in an airport environment

• Lead shifts, manage floor execution, and ensure speed of service and quality standards are met

• Coach, train, and develop Shift Supervisors and Baristas into strong future leaders

• Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and corrective action

• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, cash handling, inventory, and brand standards are consistently followed

• Step in across stations as needed including barista, register, and guest support

• Maintain compliance with airport badging, safety, and security protocols

• Partner with Operations and HR to meet staffing, training, and performance goals



 



What We Are Looking For



 



• 2+ years of leadership experience in QSR, coffee, or high volume food service

Previous Starbucks experience is highly preferred

• A positive attitude with the ability to motivate teams and build strong morale

• Ability to handle challenges with professionalism, patience, and a calm demeanor

• Leads by example and sets the standard for service, teamwork, and accountability

• Strong people leadership including coaching, accountability, and development

• Thrives in a fast paced, high volume environment

• Flexible availability including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays

• Ability to obtain and maintain airport security badging
