CUSD 303 is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as Technology Support Specialist for the 2026 - 2027 SY. 

The Technology Support Specialist works with Technology team members to implement and maintain services that are useful and reliable. This individual works primarily through the district helpdesk system to complete work tickets, triage issues, and escalate high priority problems.

Minimum Education/Certification:

  • A bachelor's or associate's degree focused on information information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Education supplemented by specialized computer courses or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for degree requirements.

Primary Purpose:
The Technology Support Specialist works with Technology team members to implement
and maintain services that are useful and reliable. This individual works primarily through
the district helpdesk system to complete work tickets, triage issues, and escalate high
priority problems. This position provides proactive and reactive support to all end user
district systems. The Technology Support Specialist reports to the Supervisor of
Technology Operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education/Certification:
• A bachelor’s or associate degree focused on information technology, computer
science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant
experience
• Education supplemented by specialized computer courses or an equivalent
combination of training and experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
• Knowledge of the Windows desktop environment
• Knowledge of Local Area Networking
• A+ Professional Certification or Equivalent experience/knowledge
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
• An ability to work with minimum supervision and guidelines.
• The ability to assess problems and communicate quickly while under pressure is
essential
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as required.
• Willingness to be on call during off-hours.
• Strong skills in hardware and software problem resolution.
• Personal vehicle and valid driver’s license is required (mileage reimbursed)
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide technical support for end-users.
• Responsible for configuration and resolution of technology hardware and software
issues
• Ability to perform installations and upgrades of client server software

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and
peripherals.
Posture: Frequent sitting and standing; occasional bending/stooping, pushing, pulling,
and twisting.
Vision: Abilities required of this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Motion: Frequent movement throughout the work environment. Repetitive hand motions;
frequent keyboarding, use of mouse, and occasional reaching.
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying less than 15 pounds
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours
Mental Demands: Have the ability to solve complex problems in situations where only
limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret instructions provided through written and
