Job Description

Purpose

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibility

  1. Lead the installation and configuration of SCADA & EnMS servers, clients, historian, engineering workstations, and network switches.
  2. Hands-on experience in developing complete SCADA architecture, including creation of graphics, alarms, events, reports, trends, SOE logs, and user access levels for power and large-scale utility electrical systems (preferably Schneider Electric EcoStruxure solutions).
  3. Configure and integrate IEDs, RTUs/PLCs, Ethernet switches, firewalls, HMI development, communication setups, and third-party devices with the SCADA server.
  4. Perform database creation, optimization, and backup/restore setup for power system and large-scale utility SCADA automation projects.
  5. Possess strong knowledge of communication protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 60870-5-101, DNP3, Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC, etc.
  6. Demonstrate strong understanding of substation schemes, single-line diagrams, system architecture, control drawings, panel drawings, and interlock schematics.
  7. Prepare and validate I/O lists, architecture diagrams, communication block diagrams, cable schedules, network layouts, etc.
  8. Design LAN/WAN communication networks, cybersecurity layers, redundant servers, HMIs, historian systems, and interface devices.
  9. Test, validate, and troubleshoot SCADA and automation systems based on engineering documents and functional schemes.
  10. Prepare and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
