The Role
ALS Laboratories are seeking a Laboratory Analyst (Grade 3) to join our Organics team at Coventry.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-focused scientist to play a key role in delivering high quality analytical testing using GC, GC-MS and LC techniques. You’ll work to agreed deadlines and strict quality standards, ensuring reliable results that support our clients and wider team.
Working closely with Senior Analysts, you’ll help keep the laboratory running smoothly, supporting colleagues, sharing knowledge, and developing your skills through structured training and ongoing development.
We’re looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail, strong adherence to procedures, and the ability to follow instructions accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (08:00 - 16:00)
Contract: Full Time and Permanent

The Day to Day
Understand customer requirements.
Ensure samples are completed efficiently and effectively following all process, procedures, and legislation.
Deliver on key performance indicators.
Report analytical data.
Troubleshoot and rectify equipment issues, including daily preventative maintenance.
Investigate and report on NCW on the QMS and assign priority.
Assist team members to achieve work objectives.
Proactively ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures
The Essentials
Qualifications required are 5 GCSEs at Grade C (equivalent to new Grade 4) or above to include Science, Maths and English
A level or equivalent in scientific subject, or relevant industry knowledge.
Ability to follow instructions and procedures, with a willingness to learn.

Ability to plan and organise own work area.
