UNM Medical Group is seeking a full-time Program Manager to join our School Based Health Clinic. This is a full-time opportunity located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Minimum $85,781 - Midpoint $109,305*
*Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.
*Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.
Summary:
In collaboration with leadership, manages and coordinates the establishment and support of programs and/or projects of significance to the operation and administration of the unit. Provides and/or coordinates program/project planning and evaluation, ensuring that developing and existing programs are effective and in conformance with the overall goals and objectives of the organization. Participates in strategic planning as appropriate, and supports, represents, and deputizes for the director of the component in programmatic and project interactions with various internal and external constituencies, as appropriate.
Minimum Job Requirements of a Program Manager:
Bachelor�s degree in a relevant field, with at least 5 years of directly related to the duties and responsibilities. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Program Manager:
- Plans, develops, implements, and coordinates project(s) and/or program(s) of assigned area of oversight.
- Designs and implements systems to assess, collect, maintain, and analyze data; generates interim progress reports, final reports, evaluation, and other information related to project(s) or program(s) as necessary.
- Provides specialized analysis and consultation on the design and implementation of effective administrative processes to support various program operations and/or project(s), to include process analysis, redesign, and organizational effectiveness.
- Establishes and implements short and long-range programmatic goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.
- Participates in the research and develops strategic analysis and initial proposal process for programs and projects of advanced complexity; initiatives are typically in support of organizational strategic goals as directed by senior leadership.
- Provides strategic advice and consultation to leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of modifications and enhancements to existing operations, systems, and procedures that comply with any regulatory agency and/or state and federal law(s).
- Works with leadership in developing project funding source; monitors costs, timescales and resources used, and takes action where these deviate from agreed-on tolerance
- Participates in the development of program, project, and/or operational budget(s) and policy and procedures, as appropriate.
- Serves as the primary liaison between department and key stakeholders across the Health System in advancing programmatic deliverable.
- May provide functional direction to staff, as appropriate.
- May develop and/or participate in the development and/or submission of grant applications.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

The UNM School-Based Health Center (SBHC) program is co-sponsored by the UNM Medical Group and UNM Health Sciences Center. SBHC facilitates and supports schools, families, and communities in addressing the social, physical, and emotional needs of students allowing them to reach their full potential.
SBHC connects students to a larger health care system that can serve as a medical home, offering lifelong health care. SBHC providers focus on preventive health care and educating students on healthy lifestyle choices. Our goal is to enhance healthy youth development and reduce barriers to learning.
