Work Setting: On-Site
Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $20.50, DOE
What You’ll Do: The Impact You’ll Make
As a Residential Aide, you’ll play an essential role in maintaining a safe, welcoming environment while supporting residents in achieving stability and self-sufficiency. Your professionalism, patience, and consistency will help foster trust and empowerment among residents.
Resident Support & Care
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident needs.
• Monitor clients to ensure a safe, supportive, and respectful environment.
• Assist residents with daily routines, chores, and personal care to promote independence.
• Support meal preparation, serving, and program activities as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality and model respectful communication at all times.
Monitoring & Safety
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure safety, cleanliness, and order throughout the facility.
• Keep resident areas, restrooms, and common spaces clean and free of hazards.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies or incidents and complete required documentation.
Documentation & Reporting
• Complete daily logs, end-of-shift reports, and incident reports accurately and on time.
• Communicate relevant updates to oncoming staff and the Program Manager to ensure continuity of care.
Administrative & Facility Support
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and maintain a professional and welcoming presence.
• Support staff with classes, recreational activities, and other program events.
• Monitor and record client self-administration of prescribed medications.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
What You’ll Bring: Your Qualifications
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one (1) year of experience in mental health, substance use treatment, or social services supporting individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Candidates with lived experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
• If in recovery from alcohol or substance use, at least one (1) year of continuous sobriety required.
Skills and Abilities
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful or crisis situations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systems.
• Patient, compassionate, and adaptable with a consistent and supportive approach.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Valid California Driver’s License, clean driving record, and insurability under Alcott’s policy required.
• Live Scan background clearance required.
