Girl Scouts San Diego is seeking an energetic and organized Program Director to lead and oversee summer day camp programming. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality, safe, and engaging activities for campers while supervising program staff and supporting daily camp operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and implement age-appropriate camp activities aligned with weekly themes in collaboration with the program specialist team
- Monitor program quality and adjust activities to improve camper engagement
- Assist with staff training, camp setup, and pre-season planning
- Maintain program records, reports, and evaluations
- Manage inventory, organization, and ordering of program supplies
- Monitor program-related expenses and stay within budget
- Communicate with parents/caregivers and address concerns professionally
- Respond to and document incidents, injuries, or illnesses (First Aid/CPR as needed)
- Step in to lead or assist activities when needed
- Ensure all activities follow camp policies, safety standards, and procedures
- Support a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented camp environment
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Previous experience leading or supervising staff in a camp, youth program, or similar setting
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and manage groups of children of varying ages
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before start date)
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities as needed
- Certification or experience in archery or challenge course programming is desired
