Lead Crew Member – Street Maintenance: Tree Crew
Starting Salary: $41,872

Join our team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing our city's streets and green spaces! We are seeking motivated individuals for the position of Lead Crew Member - Street Maintenance Tree Crew.

• Perform general semi-skilled labor tasks with physical strength and stamina.
• Operate a variety of trucks and heavy equipment for street maintenance.
• Lead a tree crew, managing vehicle operations, including dump trucks.
• Prepare sites and ensure safety protocols for tree removal and maintenance.
• Oversee tree removal, stump clearing, and debris management.
• Train and supervise crew members, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Complete all tasks to maintain the integrity and appearance of public walkways.
• Participate in emergency, weather event, and snow removal operations.

• Work overtime during emergencies, weather events, and snow removal operations

• Ability to perform a full range of duties with general supervision
• Follow written and verbal instructions effectively
• Communicate well with co-workers, supervisory staff, and customers
• Valid Class B Virginia Commercial Driver’s License
• Pass required criminal background and driving record checks

• Position will remain open until filled.
