Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for providing compassionate care. This role involves managing nursing operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) Responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient care.

  • Conduct regular assessments of patient needs and develop appropriate care plans.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and streamline processes.

  • Ensure adherence to healthcare policies, procedures, and standards of practice.

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary based on clinical assessments.

  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

  • Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and utilization management activities.

Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse License

  • Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred

  • Experience in long-term care is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient assessment techniques.

  • Skills in medication administration, IV insertion, phlebotomy, and basic life support are essential.

  • Ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a supportive work environment.

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and staff members.
