Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for providing compassionate care. This role involves managing nursing operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) Responsibilities
Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient care.
Conduct regular assessments of patient needs and develop appropriate care plans.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and streamline processes.
Ensure adherence to healthcare policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary based on clinical assessments.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and utilization management activities.
Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) Requirements
Current Registered Nurse License
Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Experience in long-term care is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient assessment techniques.
Skills in medication administration, IV insertion, phlebotomy, and basic life support are essential.
Ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a supportive work environment.
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and staff members.
