Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our athletic department as a Freshman Volleyball Coach. This full-time position offers the opportunity to mentor young athletes, develop their skills, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will have a passion for volleyball, a strong understanding of the game, and the ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement practice plans that enhance individual and team skills, focusing on technique, strategy, and game play.
- Conduct regular practices and training sessions, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all participants.
- Organize and oversee all aspects of the freshman volleyball program, including scheduling games, managing equipment, and coordinating travel.
- Monitor and assess the progress of players, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship among athletes, coaches, and parents.
- Collaborate with other coaching staff and athletic personnel to promote the volleyball program and ensure alignment with school policies.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities, expectations, and player development.
- Stay updated on the latest coaching techniques, rules, and regulations related to volleyball.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes for the volleyball program.
- Attend coaching clinics and workshops to enhance personal coaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous coaching experience, particularly at the high school or collegiate level, is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young athletes.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate practice and game schedules.
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- A commitment to promoting academic success and personal development among student-athletes.
- A positive attitude and a passion for teaching and mentoring young athletes in a competitive environment.

This is a Part Time, Seasonal Position, FRESHMEN HEAD VOLLEYBALL COACH.
THE FOLLOWING POSITION IS AVAILABLE FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to teach fundamentals in sport.
Ability to see and analyze players’ abilities and mistakes.
Ability to correct mistakes that hinder athletic development.
Ability to stimulate sportsmanship at all times including that of athletes, parents
and staff.
Ability to develop good team spirit in all team members.
Ability to develop leadership in athletes.
Help players develop values and morals.
Ability to instill self-confidence in all team members.
Must maintain adequate records and statistics.
Must communicate and respect the requests from the athletic director and /or
his/her office personnel.
Experience supervising others is desired.
Past experiences participating in volleyball at the high school level is desired.
Experience as a coach is desired.
Must have a High School Diploma.
Must satisfactorily pass: Criminal History background check.
