Your Role

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will oversee payroll processes across selected markets, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and employee satisfaction. You’ll work closely with HR, finance, and external partners to meet payroll deadlines while improving processes and systems to ensure operational excellence.

Your key responsibilities include:

•    Managing payroll for selected markets (it may include USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil) in line with internal standards and local legal regulations.
•    Administering and calculating compensation, rewards, bonuses, and severance as required.
•    Executing payroll runs using the global payroll checklist and adhering to payroll calendars.
•    Coordinating end-of-year activities and annual payroll cycles, ensuring compliance and attention to detail.
•    Handling payroll-related inquiries from managers and employees and providing guidance and support.
•    Leading payroll vendor interactions by analyzing service needs, resolving discrepancies, and implementing changes.
•    Supporting audits with payroll-related data and documentation.
•    Driving initiatives to standardize and improve payroll processes, implementing and testing new pay components, work schedules, and systems enhancements.

 

Your Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should bring:

•    Proven experience in international payroll processing, with strong knowledge of global payroll services, compliance, and best practices.
•    Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
•    High attention to detail with excellent data analysis skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
•    Strong ability to evaluate root causes, identify optimal solutions, and recommend improvements.
•    Experience with HRIS and payroll systems, including user acceptance tests and process enhancements.
•    Nice-to-have: payroll certifications such as CPP, FPC, PCP.

As part of the Global People Shared Services team in Gdańsk, you’ll collaborate with Payroll Specialists, HR Operations Specialists, HR Business Partners, finance teams, and external partners. Together, you will work towards providing seamless payroll services across regions while driving innovation in payroll processes to create a better employee experience.
