    This is for an Extended School Year (ESY) program and is considered a BOCES ESY position.

    LOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport NY 14450; Bird/Morgan School and Foreman Center

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: July 9, 2026 � August 19, 2026; Hours vary by location; Part Time, Full Time and Substitute Positions Available

    Mandatory Summer Set-Up Meetings:
    June 2nd = Transition/Employment
    June 3rd = O'Connor Academy, eStart, Creekside (BPA Unit + TES Staff)                                                                                               
    June 10th = Creekside (BUP Unit), Bird/Morgan

    SALARY RANGE: $$21.73 - $34.01 per hour (or higher pending contract negotiations) or your 2026-27 rate in this title for current Monroe One Boces staff
    *Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.

    DUTIES:
    1. Monitor physical status of children regarding chronic diseases (i.e. epilepsy, diabetes) in addition to other disabilities (i.e. developmental, emotional).
    2.  Dispense and monitor medications and treatments.
    3.  Consult with staff regarding medical and developmental status of children.
    4.  Liaison with physicians, community agencies, parents, students and staff.
    5.  Provide First Aid to students and staff.
    6.  Accompany classrooms on community based instructional trips.
    7.  Accompany students on bus runs as required.
    8.  Ability to run to emergencies and perform CPR.  

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1.  Civil Service eligibility as a Licensed Practical Nurse:
     

    A.  Graduation from a NYS approved School of Practical Nursing, OR

    B.  Possession of a valid NYS Registered Professional Nursing or NYS Licensed

    C.  Professional Nursing license.
     

    2.  Current license and registration to practice nursing in NYS.
    3.  AED/CPR Certified.
    4.  Prior school nursing, pediatric nursing experience desirable.
    5.  Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation), including running to emergencies.
