About One Pass

One Pass is redefining how people engage with health, wellness, and everyday living. Through a comprehensive engagement and loyalty platform, we empower millions of members to live healthier, more connected lives. Backed by deep partnerships across healthcare and supported by a culture of innovation, cross‑functional collaboration, and relentless curiosity, One Pass is scaling rapidly and shaping the future how people lead healthier, fuller lives.

About This Role

The Senior Software Engineer, DevOps is responsible for owning and evolving the cloud infrastructure that powers our systems and services. Operating at the intersection of software engineering and operations, this role emphasizes automation, scalability, reliability, and security to support a growing, high availability platform.

This is a fast paced, high impact environment where infrastructure decisions directly shape product delivery and customer experience. You will take meaningful technical ownership, contribute to architectural strategy, and collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and cross functional partners. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys building and operating systems at scale, making pragmatic trade offs, and balancing speed with long term stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure

• Own and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform

• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code and automation (Python, shell scripting, etc.)

• Administer and troubleshoot production infrastructure, including cloud environments, networking, databases, and messaging/event systems

• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to increase deployment reliability and developer velocity

• Support and evolve containerized and microservices‑based systems using Docker and Kubernetes

• Monitor system availability, performance, and cost; define metrics and alerts; analyze logs to ensure uptime and reliability

• Identify performance bottlenecks and proactively optimize systems for scalability and efficiency in a rapidly evolving environment

• Participate in a shared on‑call rotation, responding to incidents and leading resolution and post‑incident learnings

• Collaborate closely with application engineers, product managers, and other teams to deliver high‑quality solutions on tight timelines

• Contribute to engineering best practices and continuous improvement across tooling, automation, security, and reliability

About You

You are a pragmatic and experienced engineer who enjoys owning complex systems end‑to‑end. You are comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment, adapting to change, and making thoughtful tradeoffs without perfect information. You value automation, reliability, and simplicity, and you approach incidents with a calm, learning‑oriented mindset. You communicate clearly and work effectively across teams.

Required Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or backend software engineering roles

• Strong experience designing and operating systems in AWS

• Expertise operating Kubernetes clusters and supporting Dev teams use of Kubernetes

• Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and modern DevOps practices

• Strong familiarity with monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization

• Experience administering relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, or MariaDB)

• Solid understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and high‑availability design

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience owning or improving on‑call processes and incident response practices

• Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure cost and efficiency at scale

• Prior technical leadership or mentorship experience (formal or informal)

• Exposure to security best practices, compliance, or regulated environments

• Experience improving internal platforms or developer experience
