Job Description

GRADE LEVEL: 52

DEPARTMENTRATE RESEARCH

STARTING SALARY: $70,100 -$95,774    Salary is commensurate with experience    

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of the Supervisor – Revenue Forecasting & Analysis, assists in the implementation and ongoing use of a revenue modeling system used for revenue analysis, forecasting, customer analytics, and rate design. This role combines revenue analysis expertise with technical system knowledge to improve how the Company develops, analyzes, and supports revenue streams. This position will play a key role in transitioning existing processes into a centralized system, ensuring models are accurate, transparent, and aligned with regulatory and business needs. The individual will work closely with Rates, Regulatory, Finance, and IT to support system configuration, data integration, and analytical workflows.

EDUCATION:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
  • **Proficiency in UI Solutions Group Revenue Solution is required.

EXPERIENCE:  3 or more years

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  1. Proficiency in UI Solutions Group Revenue Solution is required.

  2. Knowledge of the characteristics and operations of regulated electric utilities.

  3. Knowledge of statistical, research, and analytical methods and techniques.

  4. Knowledge of customer and billing characteristics of an electric utility.

  5. Proficient in the use of computers in applied research and data analysis and with common business software applications, particularly spreadsheets.

  6. Ability to quickly learn and become proficient in electric utility ratemaking applications.

  7. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  8. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with officers, managers, fellow employees, and the general public.

  9. Ability to maintain a strong sense of propriety concerning confidential matters.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Lead the setup and ongoing maintenance of rate structures, tariffs, and billing logic within the revenue modeling system.
  2. Translate existing rate models and methodologies into system-based calculations.

  3. Develop and run scenario analyses to evaluate proposed and anticipated rate changes.

  4. Work with internal data sources (billing, load, customer data) to ensure accurate inputs and outputs.

  5. Validate system results against existing models and billing data, and resolve discrepancies.

  6. Prepares, audits, and coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, schedules, and exhibits.

  7. Performs revenue forecasting and variance analysis.

  8. Support development of materials for rate cases and regulatory filings.

  9. Serve as a resource for internal users and support adoption of the system across the team.

  10. Complies with all applicable Company policies, procedures and code of ethics as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations to include employment, safety and environmental standards and regulations. 

  11. Perform other related tasks that are not included above but are within the context of the duties defined.
