Job Description

Job Summary:


Pick up and deliver motors and other items to/from customer sites.  Maintain fleet and help organize truck garages and storage facility. The position involves a high level of customer contact and requires the work of an individual who truly enjoys providing a service to the customer, and an individual who can be patient and understanding with a customer who is unfamiliar with The Hannon Company product lines and nomenclature.

 

Education and/or Experience                                 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team as applicable.
  • Class A CDL
  • Requires oral and written skills to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, shop staff, supervisors, and managers.


Training Required:

As required by the employee’s role within the ISO 9001 quality management system.


Job Skills Requirements:  

  • Organization skills
  • Clean driving record

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Check with dispatch to obtain daily routing.
  • Using safe work practices, (i.e., Rigging), load, secure and tarp cargo for transport.
  • Obey local, state, and federal laws regarding transporting cargo.
  • Maintain electronic logs and hour of service according to FMCSA guidelines.
  • Perform mandatory inspections; maintain and clean assigned truck.
  • Report and address any deficiencies as needed.
  • Inspect, clean, perform maintenance and move trucks as needed.
  • Organize, clean, and maintain storage facility as directed.
  • Maintain customer relationships to build a rapport to ensure they are aware of other services we offer.

  • Maintaining a clean and orderly vehicle
  • Timely pick-up and delivery of cargo as assigned.
  • Safely operate a motor vehicle
