Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as a core owner of UX across ETB’s full product suite, partnering closely with Product and Engineering to deliver cohesive, scalable design solutions aligned with business goals and technical constraints
- Collaborate day‑to‑day with Product Managers and Engineering leads to translate complex requirements into intuitive, user‑centered experiences across multiple tools and platforms
- Plan and conduct end‑to‑end user research—including interviews, discovery sessions, and workflow analysis—to deeply understand customer needs, behaviors, goals, and pain points
- Create and maintain user journeys, task flows, interaction models, and information architecture that support consistency across ETB’s integrated product ecosystem
- Design clear, usable, and accessible interfaces across all ETB products, balancing usability, efficiency, and visual clarity for technical and non‑technical users
- Plan, run, and synthesize usability tests and validation activities, iterating on designs based on qualitative and quantitative feedback
- Own UX outcomes by supporting the evaluation of design improvements using metrics such as product adoption, activation, usability, and customer satisfaction
- Contribute to and help evolve ETB’s UX standards, patterns, and best practices as part of a lean, high‑impact small and mighty UX team of two.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Seasoned UX practitioner with strong end‑to‑end experience owning UX across complex, multi‑product SaaS platforms, from discovery and research through design, validation, and iteration
- Demonstrated self‑starter mentality with the ability to work independently, take control of UX initiatives, and drive work forward in a lean environment with minimal oversight
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with comfort making decisions, prioritizing work, and advocating for users while balancing product, technical, and business needs
- Deep understanding of user‑centered and human‑centered design principles, with the ability to apply them pragmatically in real‑world, production environments
- Strong knowledge of core SaaS UX patterns, including onboarding, dashboards, workflows, feature discovery, permissions and multi‑role user experiences
- Proficiency with UX design and prototyping tools, including Figma (primary), and familiarity with tools such as Jira, Scribe, Loop and Notion.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams, with working familiarity across ETB’s technology stack, including:
- TypeScript
- C# and object‑oriented programming concepts
- MS SQL
- REST APIs
- Microsoft Azure–based applications and services
- Comfortable designing within and contributing to design systems, accessibility standards, and reusable interaction patterns across multiple products
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale to Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, UX Design, Design Strategy, or a related field
Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of UX or product design experience, ideally within SaaS or complex software products.
