Your role as Senior Software Developer, Fullstack
Reporting to Pierre-Luc Turgeon, Director of Engineering for the Member Experience team at Dialogue, your mission will be to build the backend services that power magical experiences for millions of Canadians using the Dialogue web and mobile applications, and to ensure they can access the care they need quickly and reliably. As part of Member Stream, you will play a pivotal role in evolving the systems behind appointment booking, registration, video calls and the core member journeys that drive our Member Experience.
What you'll be doing
- Building, improving, and operating mission-critical applications and API services as part of the Member Stream team;
- Identifying, refining, and prioritizing work items by business value in collaboration with the product manager;
- Writing and participating in the elaboration of technical design documents to align the team on clear solutions;
- Writing accurate, readable, testable code and maintainable test suites which set a good example for other developers;
- Improving the skills and effectiveness of other engineers through code review, documentation, and direct guidance;
We'd love to hear from you if you have
- 5 or more years of experience with distributed systems, API design, with a good understanding of industry best practices.You have a track record of architecting, organizing, and shipping significant software initiatives.
- Ability to act as a technical expert and influence product or team direction.
- Reason about data structures and algorithms, and you apply them in order to build robust, scalable systems.
- Break down systems and product development work into incremental changes and consistently deliver value.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues, in a variety of contexts.
- Proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL and AWS services is an asset.
- Willingness to work with React Native, Python, databases, and cloud infrastructure is required.
- Prior experience with Expo frameworks is an asset.
- Any level of experience with web application development, particularly with React, is an asset.
