The Underwriting Analyst - Payroll position provides the opportunity to work closely with our agency partners and evaluate risks for Workers’ Compensation, Businessowners’, Commercial Auto, and Umbrella policies for small businesses. This is a great opportunity to begin a career in the commercial insurance industry to learn about interesting commercial insurance products.   • Utilize company underwriting criteria to evaluate risks for various lines of business
  • Ability to work independently
  • Perform independent verification of insured's operations
  • Review and process change requests on in-force policies
  • Evaluate in-force policies at renewal
  • Develop relationships with agencies
  • Participate in Underwriting Training for new products, directives and processes
  • Travel regularly to agency offices
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
  • Prior insurance related experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a service-centric environment, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Candidates should have investigative skills and be comfortable using the Internet as a research tool

This role is based in our Wilkes‑Barre, PA office, with an expectation of working on‑site three days per week.
