Job Description

Brief Overview of Position:

Strategic Operational Solutions (STOPSO) is seeking candidates for a Networks and Infrastructure Pillar Subject Matter Expert role to support a DHS client where we are focused on delivering innovative operations and solutions through proven successful methods. The ideal candidate will provide excellent leadership and guidance to support the completion of the necessary objectives centered on DHS and USCIS Zero Trust requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and execute in areas to support and augment ongoing USCIS efforts to achieve, maintain, and continuously improve, and integrate ZT solutions across pillars
  • Support the organization's efforts and objectives to focus on an open communications medium, including agency internal networks, wireless networks, and the Internet, used to transport messages Support the Government as it performs a system of record validation of user-controlled and autonomous devices to determine acceptable cybersecurity posture and trustworthiness
  • Support the organization's capabilities to isolate sensitive resources from being accessed by unauthorized people or things by dynamically defining network access, deploying micro-segmentation techniques, and control network flows while encrypting end-to-end traffic

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Public Administration, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with cybersecurity and information technology requirements
  • Highly Desirable: Have one (1) of the following active certifications: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Security, CCIE Wireless, CCIE Data Center, CCIE Routing & Switching, Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security), or other comparable certification or experience, which must be approved in advance by the Federal Program Manager on a case-by-case basis

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of authentication technologies like multi-factor authentication (MFA), privileged access management (PAM), and attribute-based access control (ABAC)
  • Experience engineering, troubleshooting, and securing a wide range of network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers from leading vendors
  • Experience with cloud-based network infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), including securing hybrid cloud environments
  • Hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platforms, such as Splunk and Swimlane Turbine
  • The ability to conduct complex risk assessments, analyze network data, and design effective security solutions

Skills and Competencies:

  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing Zero Trust frameworks in large-scale, including an in-depth understanding of NIST SP 800-207 and DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture
  • Experience with technologies and techniques to support initiatives focused on network segmentation, network traffic management, traffic encryption, and network resilience.
