What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking professional and dependable Truck Check-In Coordinators to join our team at a busy truck check-in facility in Joliet, IL. This position plays a critical role in managing the flow of incoming and outgoing drivers—serving as the first point of contact, gathering and verifying driver information, accurately recording details, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Team members will be responsible for maintaining clear communication with truckers and site personnel while ensuring all documentation is completed thoroughly and correctly. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective interpersonal skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Candidates must be comfortable being on their feet for extended periods and working in both indoor and outdoor conditions throughout their shift.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to truck drivers, vendors, and site personnel.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers entering and exiting the facility.
- Collect, verify, and accurately record driver and load information in designated systems and logs.
- Direct drivers to appropriate dock doors, staging areas, or checkpoints as needed.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with site operations and dispatch teams.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Monitor truck flow to help maintain an organized and efficient check-in process.
- Remain attentive while working both indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced environment.
- Stay on your feet for extended periods while managing driver interactions and site activity.
- Observe, report, and escalate any issues, discrepancies, or safety concerns.
- Respond promptly and professionally to questions, concerns, or unexpected situations.
What We’re Looking For:

- Excellent skills in customer service, communication, and multitasking, while working well under pressure.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong, stable work history.
- Must pass a drug test and background screening.
- Reliable transportation required.
