We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Youth Transition Services Virtual Teacher to empower and guide young individuals through the challenging process of transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. In this remote role, you will leverage your expertise in education and transition services to provide virtual instruction, mentorship, and support to help youth develop essential life skills, make informed career choices, and successfully navigate the path toward independence.

Requirements

  • Associates or 2 year degree and or commensurate teacher experience required. 
  • High school Diploma required.  
  • Minimum 1 year working with youth with disabilities and/or employment services. 
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.  
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. 
  • Meticulous attention to details.  
  • Ability to maintain professional and respectful relationship with colleagues and external partners. 
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid MD Driver’s License and car insurance.

Summary

To that end, every employee will promptly refer any consumer with an interest in obtaining supported employment to appropriate Vocational Staff and will actively participate as needed in the Evidence-Based Practice in supported employment initiative/model.
