GENERAL SUMMARY:
Collaborate with transportation providers, third‑party logistics (3PL) partners, and internal stakeholders to support an efficient, cost‑effective material flow across the supplier network. Support the analysis, implementation, control, and continuous optimization of transportation and logistics services within the supply chain.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
1. Transportation planning and follow-up
• Plan and monitor daily transportation activities.
• Follow up bookings with freight forwarders and trucking providers.
• Track shipments and proactively address delays, exceptions, and risks.
• Monitor transportation and 3PL service performance to align with contractual requirements and service expectations.
• Support process standardization efforts and assist in maintaining contingency plans to maintain operational continuity.
• Collaborate with internal departments, carriers, and logistics partners to support daily operations and identify opportunities to improve routing and transportation efficiency.
• Provide transportation and export support for North American suppliers as required.
2. Documentation
• Assist in preparing, reviewing, and validating transportation documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, shipment labels, etc.
• Verify that shipping documentation complies with customs regulations, trade compliance requirements, and transportation standards.
3. Financial monitoring
• Monitor and control transportation budgets for assigned accounts.
• Support freight cost validation and invoice review as required.
4. Performance monitoring
• Track and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Monitor freight forwarder and carrier performance.
• Assist in preparing recurring transportation reports and dashboards using Excel and other reporting tools.
5. Others
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
• Comply with and support all safety-related activities.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain operations, materials handling, and/or customs and trade compliance (manufacturing environment preferred).
Languages: Fully Bilingual (English, Spanish)
Skills:

• Good knowledge of transportation processes and Incoterms.
• Ability to work across time zones with flexible scheduling.
• Problem-solving and attention to detail oriented.
• Proficiency in Excel for reporting and tracking.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
