Job Description

Adaptive Swim Coach (1:1 Therapeutic Setting)

Aqua-Tots Swim School is seeking a compassionate professional with experience in ABA, special education, therapy, or working with children with adaptive needs to join our Adaptive Swim Program.

This role focuses on primarily 1:1 sessions, helping children with autism and unique abilities build water safety, confidence, and independence in a structured, supportive environment.

Position Details

  • Part-time (5–12 hours/week)
  • Consistent weekly schedule• Weekday afternoons or weekends• Sessions are primarily 1:1 with parent involvement

Compensation

  • $25–$30/hour based on experience
  • Paid training provided

What You'll Do

  • Lead 1:1 adaptive swim sessions• Support children with varying sensory and behavioral needs• Teach water safety and foundational swim skills• Guide parents during sessions• Celebrate progress and build confidence

Ideal Background

  • RBT, behavior therapist, paraprofessional
  • Special education teacher• OT / SLP (or students in training)
  • Experience with autism or adaptive needs
