Job Responsibilities
The Steward is responsible for the Health and Sanitation of all Food and Beverage areas. It is also their responsibility to collaborate with the culinary and front-of-the-house teams in order to achieve the level of service required to meet departmental and company service and financial goals.
Essential Duties / Core Competencies
- Cleans and maintains floors and walls in designated food service areas.
- Cleans and sanitizes the entire kitchen area.
- Collects and removes trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures.
- Consistently adheres to RWC information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace.
- Maintains inspection readiness always.
- Uses and maintains equipment per manufacturer and department guidelines.
- Report all issues or maintenance defects to the Executive Chef/Sous Chef. Shift Manager - Stewarding.
- Demonstrates consistent regard and dedication to guests, vendors, colleagues and the Company by being engaged, interested and productive
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of our marketplace; actively and collaboratively assists in building the best practices necessary for the Company’s success
- Demonstrates an understanding of the impact actions and decisions have on the Company both financially and on guest relations
- Demonstrates the courage and initiative to present new ideas and perspective to create positive results
- Exhibits respectful consideration of viewpoints, situations and others
- Puts the guest at the forefront of every decision
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Work/Educational Experience
- Must be 18 years or older and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the applicable statute, rules and regulations.
- High School diploma or G.E.D preferred
- One (1) year experience in related field

Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least twenty-five (25) pounds, and varied instances of standing/walking.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Fluency in English required, second language a plus. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.
Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability:
Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request.

- The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. When on the property or some back of house areas, the noise level increases to loud. Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner.
