Our Executive Housekeeper is looking for Housekeeping Supervisor to work closely with our housekeepers and oversee the daily operations of the department. In this role you will be based a one or more sites to supervise and support the team with a hands-on role; to maintain a consistent standard of cleanliness and presentation across our hotel accommodation, Mt Cook Lodge, Motels, and staff accommodations around the village.
Experience in a commercial housekeeping environment is required, as well as prior experience of people supervision, resource management, and a clean driving license. At the heart of our service is excellent attention to detail and an uncompromising commitment to excellence. With effective communications and people management skills you will build rapport with the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service levels whilst focused on guest experience and positive team leadership.
What will you be doing
- Experience supervising Public Area & Room Attendants, and taking a hands-on role with the daily workload
- Assisting the Housekeeping Manager in resource management and allocation
- Conducting detailed inspections of vacant guest rooms prior to guest arrivals
- Ensuring all product specifications and standards have been met.
- Resetting staff accommodation rooms, ensuring rooms are fit for use.
- Communicating with Front Office in relation to room bookings, changes, and room item charges.
- Communicating with HR team in relation to staff arrivals and departures
- Resolving guest complaints to the guest’s satisfaction within your level of authority
What will you bring to the role
- A minimum of 12 months housekeeping experience in hospitality is required
- A minimum of 6 months experience in supervisor or team leader role is preferred
- Experience working is a multi-site property portfolio is preferred
- A high attention to detail, outcome focused, and highly organised
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional, with excellent communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable, and able to change with the ever-evolving market
- A strong desire to strive for excellent guest experiences
The role and benefits
- Full Time, permanent, Minimum 60 hours per fortnight. Hourly rate is $28.00-$31.00
