Our board-certified surgeons and advanced practice providers lead trauma, acute care surgery, and surgical hospitalist programs across the country, with a focus on collaboration, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement.

About the Program

Kaweah Health Medical Center is a 435-bed Level III Trauma Center with the volume and resources of a Level II facility, managing over 2,200 annual trauma activations. As a teaching hospital with a robust General Surgery Residency, the trauma and ACS teams work in close partnership with intensivists to provide comprehensive, high-acuity care.

The Role

SAMGI is seeking experienced Per-Diem Trauma Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join our established trauma and acute care surgery service at Kaweah Health. This position provides flexible scheduling and an opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled, academic-minded surgical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient, consultative, and perioperative care for trauma and ACS patients

  • Daytime 10-hour shifts (per-diem schedule)

  • Two APPs scheduled per day for collaborative coverage

  • Support ward and ICU patient management, ER consults, postoperative care, and discharge planning

Qualifications

  • Licensed PA-C, ACNP, or NP (surgical or trauma experience preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

  • Interest in teaching and academic medicine
