We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team responsible for an Electronic Flight Bag application suite supporting airline flight deck operations, pilot workflows, flight briefings, operational documents, weather data, and integrations with flight-relevant tools.

In this role, you will lead engineers, drive delivery, and ensure the team builds reliable, secure, scalable, and user-focused product capabilities. You will work closely with Product Management, Design, Customer Success, and global engineering stakeholders to define priorities, remove blockers, and create an environment where the team can deliver with clarity, ownership, and strong technical discipline.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support the Flight Deck engineering team in day-to-day delivery and long-term technical execution.

- Partner with Product Management to translate product goals into clear engineering priorities.

- Support the development of scalable application features, workflow automation, integrations, and enterprise-grade user experiences.

- Build a healthy team culture based on ownership, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Coach engineers through regular feedback, career development, and performance conversations.

- Ensure strong engineering practices around reliability, security, scalability, maintainability, and production readiness.

- Improve delivery processes, planning, communication, and cross-team collaboration.

- Work effectively with distributed teams across different locations and time zones.

- Represent the Flight Deck team in technical, product, and organizational discussions.

Requirements

- Previous experience as an Engineering Manager, Team Lead, Tech Lead, or similar leadership role.

- Strong understanding of software development, agile delivery, and modern engineering practices.

- Experience working with cloud-based, enterprise, SaaS, workflow, or platform products.

- Ability to lead engineers in a product-focused environment.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Good understanding of CI/CD, release processes, observability, and production operations.

- Ability to manage priorities, clarify ambiguity, and help the team focus on meaningful outcomes.

- Fluent English for daily collaboration in an international environment.

Nice to Have

- Hands-on background as a software engineer.

- Experience with enterprise applications, workflow platforms, integrations, or operational dashboards.

- Experience with AI/GenAI-enabled product capabilities.

- Experience leading distributed teams across Europe and the US.
