Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist will play a critical role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by developing and implementing personalized therapeutic interventions that promote independence and functional ability. This position focuses on assessing patients with a variety of physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement rehabilitation plans using evidence-based practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Valid and current state licensure
- Current CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in rehabilitation settings
- Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities and limitations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting rehabilitation goals
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation and compliance with policies
- Maintain positive working relationships with facility staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform physical activities required for patient care
- Ability to lift, move, and transport patients with or without reasonable accommodation
- Visual, hearing, and communication abilities sufficient for patient care
