Job Summary
St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Millwood is seeking a dependable and organized Cafeteria Director to oversee daily cafeteria operations in a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. This role supports the school’s mission by ensuring students are served nutritious meals while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and student supervision.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily cafeteria operations, including meal service and kitchen organization
- Supervise and assist students during lunch periods, promoting a respectful and orderly environment
- Coordinate and manage cafeteria staff and volunteers
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, serving areas, and dining spaces
- Assist with food preparation, serving, and inventory management as needed
- Communicate effectively with school administration, staff, and families
- Monitor supplies and coordinate ordering with administration
- Support scheduling and efficiency of lunch periods
Job Requirements
- High school diploma required; food service or management experience preferred
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to supervise students and maintain a structured environment
- Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs
- Dependable, collaborative, and able to manage multiple tasks
